How to write a good entry

Top tips on how to write a good entry!

  • Keep it simple!
  • Provide a clear explanation in your own words on why this person/team deserves to be nominated for an award.
  • Include examples or results of how the person/team has delivered the criteria.
  • Use quotes or comments from other team members to support your point.
  • Imagine the judges know nothing about the project/work that you are describing, so add those extra details where they may help!

When writing your nomination, consider:

  • WHAT did the nominee do?
  • HOW did they do it?
  • WHO benefitted?
  • WHAT were the results and/or impact?
  • WHY does the nominee stand out from others?
  • WHERE and WHEN did the key events occur?

Summary
Ensure your summary is a clear, direct, and explains why the nominee deserves recognition. Include bullet points to allow the judges to become familiar with the nominee and why they should win i.e. the specific challenges faced, actions taken, and goals met.

Who can I nominate?

Nominations can be for ongoing or completed projects/activities or for people who go above beyond on a regular occurrence.

Please remember you can start your nomination and go back to it before you submit it! Give yourself enough time to add those extra details that might help your nominee win!
